What is cybersecurity and why is it so important?
Cybersecurity involves the protection of information systems from theft or damage to hardware, software, and to the information on them, as well as from disruption or misdirection of the services they provide. What most businesses often overlook is that cybersecurity also includes people, policy and practice. Access to/sharing threat information is another way to increase cybersecurity posture.
The National Cyber Exchange makes threat information sharing possible between their constituents.
What is the NCX?
NCX, formerly WCX (Western Cyber Exchange), is a non-profit, member organization dedicated to improving cybersecurity and protecting critical infrastructure by sharing cyber threat information, providing education and workforce development, technology development, and supporting member cybersecurity needs.
Developing Colorado’s workforce to keep pace with cyber technology in order to ensure a cyber-secure workplace is essential! It is in this space that NCX will:
- Collaborate with specific business sectors to provide high quality cyber training exercises.
- Provide a platform for threat awareness/identification/sharing via a Cooperative Research and Development Agreement (CRADA) with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
